Mental Health Recovery: Using a Wellbeing Approach

This term we will be offering our free ‘Mental Health Recovery: Using a Wellbeing Approach’  course at two locations: Campbelltown and Fairfield

This course provides an overall understanding and insight into mental health recovery. 

Option 1 – Campbelltown

Dates:
Tuesdays 26 April, 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 May, 7, 14, 21, 28 June
Time: 10am to 2:30pm
Venue: Macarthur Disability Services, Level 8, 138 Queen St, Campbelltown
Note: this venue requires full covid-19 vaccination for all in attendance, including students.

Option 2 Fairfield

Dates:
Wednesdays 27 April, 4, 11, 18, 25 May, 1, 8, 22, 29 June
Time: 10am to 2:30pm
Venue: Fairfield Youth and Community Centre, 55 Vine St, Fairfield
Note:  Fairfield course is 9 weeks with a break on 15 June. This venue does not require covid-19 vaccination, students may be interacting with vaccinated and non-vaccinated students.

  • Understanding Mental Health Act  
  • Navigating the Mental Health System
  • Exploring Grief & Loss
  • Exploring Depression
  • Exploring Bipolar
  • Exploring Alcohol, Drug Use & Wellbeing 
  • Exploring Personality Disorders – with a spotlight on Borderline Personality Disorder

Eligibility: Open to people with a lived experience of mental health challenges, carers (e.g. friends/family) or service providers within South Western Sydney.
