The Health Promotion Mental Wellbeing Team at the Campbelltown SWSLHD office are launching a new project about men’s mental health called Tackling The Challenge.  This project is Macarthur wide and includes the Camden, Wollondilly and Campbelltown LGA’s and is being supported by Western Sydney University with a research component.
Tackling The Challenge is a narrative project where stories that reflect strength and resilience in adversity, are collected from local men. These are then shared through various mediums within the Macarthur community to show paths to recovery and support. Please be assured that participants are carefully screened and are provided the flexibility to opt out prior to any story going ‘live’.

This project was piloted in Bowral in 2018 and examples of released stories can be found at www.wingecarribeehealthassociationformen.org
