SELF CARE FOR PEER SUPPORT WORKERS

Peer work is a personal, emotive vocation which requires individuals to reflect on and share their mental health challenges repeatedly for the benefit of others experiencing similar difficulties.

Student learning outcomes:
• Increase your ability to recognise triggers and set appropriate boundaries

• Explore how to share your story whilst maintaining your safety and those hearing your story

• Explore practical ways to develop a self-care routine
